Hayiya Dance Theatre opened on January 17, 2001. Originally located in downtown Macon on historic Cherry Street, Hayiya’s home for the last 10 years has been the heart of central Georgia – Midtown! We like to consider ourselves the epicenter for grassroots cultural arts in our community.

Designed to look and feel like home, Hayiya Dance Theatre envelopes our students and guests alike in a sense of comfort that inspires courage and strength.

In addition to a beautiful dance facility, The Center also features oversized windows providing an abundance of natural lighting, a family friendly foyer, reading room, student-faculty lounge and original art by local artists.

The Center has become a rehearsal home to numerous dancers and ensembles in Macon as well as a place of meeting for local arts organizations.
