Outreach and Programs

Hayiya Dance Theatre General Fund

Your gift to this fund supports the School’s public performances, curriculum, training programs and guest artist initiatives. This fund will also allow Hayiya Dance Theatre, Inc. to remain true to our commitment to authentic live musical accompaniment. Your donation to the general fund will support this commitment on stage, in our school’s classes and outreach programs.

Your support here will also provide HDT with the means to continue offering and expand our classes for adults and children in the in community for free.

Adopt-A-Dancer Program

A number of our performing students attend classes on a full or partial scholarship. Your gift to this fund supports these local talents as well as many others by giving them the opportunity to participate in our dance and training programs. Supporters can donate funding to the general Adopt-A-Dancer Fund or sponsor a specific student with a monthly, yearly, or one-time donation.

Hayiya Summer Dance Intensive Fund

Our summer dance camp provides students new to dance and seasoned performers alike the opportunity to explore the world of dance from new perspective in a fun and exciting atmosphere. The Intensive encourages individual creativity while focusing on discipline and strength. Students attending the camp will study West African, ballet , tap, jazz, contemporary, Latin, hip hop, Pilipino dance and more. Students also participate in visual arts, crafts, rites of passage workshops, music, theatre, reading workshops and educational outings. Students swim each week and launch mini productions for their families each week as well.

Arts In Education Fund

Hayiya delivers year-round arts education programs to students in Macon and Middle Georgia during regular school and summer programs. Your donations to this fund will allow HDT to continue to offer Artists in Residence programs in public schools, after-school programing and free family and neighborhood programs.

15 Years of Excellence Fund

Donating to this fund will support the development and help bring to life the newest addition to our repertory: I am Hayiya. This work will mark the celebration of our 15^th Anniversary, include collaboration performances from the dance community at large and the serve as a launching pad for new outreach programing designed around our anniversary.

Excellence in Innovation Fund

Our strategic plan calls for HDT to broaden our scope and performance base. Reaching out to fresh audiences is a fundamental strategy necessity for the longevity and success of arts programming.

Your gift here supports our effort to reach out to our neighbors living right here in Middle Georgia as well as extending beyond our city’s borders. This fund also supports choreography commissions, technology and dance media programs, archives preservation and related artistic initiatives.
